We had FHE with the Golfers at Amy.  This one is with CC back row third from right and Lolly left front.

This photo has Lolly on the left front and Reeve on the right front row.  CC took the picture.

Sharing some family memories with Reg

The golfer girls gave us Smart Phones for Christmas then caught us at T-Mobile getting them set up the day before Christmas.

New tie and scarf from our Golfer Girls
Bob and I have been going to all of our children's homes taking a FHE lesson.

We are passing on stories from our lives and hopefully these stories will be passed on to future generations. The Golds did a service project for their activity that night.

Some of our grandchildren from Valley View Elementary put on a musical about the Candy Bomber of WWII

The school arranged to have a helicopter buzz over the playground and drop parachutes of candy for the children to help them feel what those children in Germany must have felt.

What a wonderful surprise and touching experience for all of us who witnessed it.

It has been a mild enough winter for Bob to enjoy golf with his favorite "coaches".

Lolly came and baked cookies to deliver to a neighbor and to spend time visiting this special lady.

Filling Containers for Africa

We have spent the last two weeks helping fill 8 huge shipping containers to be sent to Zimbabwe and Mozambique.  When we walked into the warehouse and saw all the donations that had been collected from so many generous people here, our eyes filled with tears.

People came daily to assemble newborn kits.

So much clothing was donated, bundled and loaded onto the containers.

Scouts, youth groups, families, and missionaries came daily to help with the work.

Our children and grandchildren came with friends and helped each day.

Edison helped Grandpa fill suitcases for missionaries.

Over 1000 suitcases were filled with donated items for missionaries serving from Africa who have no money for approved clothing.  We filled their bags with journals, toiletries along with suits, dresses, P-day clothing, etc.

More items arrived each day and had to be sized, sorted and placed into empty suitcases.

One day maybe this future missionary will remember what he did to help other missionaries.

It took two full weeks working from 7 a.m. until 9 pm and often later to complete the packing.  BUT IT GOT DONE WITH THE HELP OF A LOT OF WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO GAVE SO MUCH OF THEIR MEANS AND TIME.

Newborn Baby Kits headed for Africa

To make our 50th anniversary memorable for all of us, we bought supplies to make 100 newborn kits.  Each of our children and their families came over during the week-end and assembled 10 kits/family.  It didn't take long and was a good activity.
We can't wait to receive pictures back from our golfer friends in Zimbabwe who will distribute the kits and take pictures of the recipients.
Bob and I are both so grateful as we see the influence that our mission to Africa had on our children and grandchildren.  It is ongoing and we expect it will last for several generations.
