Pilanesburg trip over Easter break

We stayed at the Gatz Guesthouse for about $100 B & B/night

We went with Nielsens (PEF missionaries) and Hoffmans (medical)

The guesthouse had all kinds of avocado and lemon trees.

There were many kinds of birds at the water holes as well as animals.

This picture gives you an idea of what the veld is like--the natural habitat for all the animals we saw

All kinds of beauty in the wilds or veld of Africa

These are rare white rhinos--can't get up close and personal

Hippos in the water which we did not see at Madikwe game reserve

You only know how many are in the water when they come up for air.

I love the giraffes

These are Siamese giraffe--not.

Dad is dirty and last in line.  They roll in the mud to cool off.

So many wildebeests that we got tired of seeing them.

Lots of turtles along the water's edge

We got to see baboons on this trip

They play on the dam.
